REGULAR MEETING OF THE ANIMAL ADVISORY COMMISSION NO KILL COMMITTEE MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2026, AT 4:00PM AUSTIN CITY HALL, BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS ROOM 1101 301 W 2nd STREET AUSTIN, TEXAS Some members of the No Kill Committee may be participating by videoconference. Public comment will be allowed in-person or remotely via telephone. Speakers may only register to speak on an item once either in-person or remotely and will be allowed up to three minutes to provide their comments. Registration no later than noon the day before the meeting is required for remote participation by telephone. CURRENT COMMISSIONERS: Nancy Nemer, Travis County, Chair Beatriz Dulzaides, D2 Erin Ferguson, D8 Whitney Holt, D5 David Loignon, D10 Erin Van Landingham, D1 CALL TO ORDER PUBLIC COMMUNICATION: GENERAL The first 10 speakers signed up prior to the meeting being called to order will each be allowed a three- minute allotment to address their concerns regarding items not posted on the agenda. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. Approve the minutes of the special called meeting of the Animal Advisory Commission’s No Kill Committee on July 13, 2026. DISCUSSION ITEMS 2. Discussion of definition of no kill thresholds. 3. Discussion regarding ways to increase the overnight Emergency Services budget for Austin Animal Services and other solutions for injured homeless animals in Austin/Travis County for afterhours services. 4. Discussion regarding ways to open intake at Austin Animal Services. DISCUSSION AND ACTION ITEMS 5.
