This position offers direct customer service and support AW's Customer Service Contact Center (dispatch) team, which operates 24/7, 365 days a year. The number of lift stations is expected to expand, along with equipment such as generators and backflow prevention devices. This includes expert oversight of firewalls, which are critical to protecting all network operations. The role ensures infrastructure is built to support daily operations and long-term resilience. This role is essential to design and oversee secure systems that protect the water utility’s critical infrastructure (IT/OT/SCADA systems) from cyber threats, ensuring safe and reliable service delivery. The requested engineer will be a sponsor for Pipeline CIP supporting Renewing Austin and Interdepartmental City projects. With the added scope of Service Line replacements and the future interdepartmental projects from the City’s 2026 Bond election, this position will continue to be needed. Resiliency Support Services manages 18 campuses across 540+ sq mi, supporting 1,400+ staff and 1.1M customers. With 50% of facilities in poor condition, we’ve launched major renovations, acquired new properties, and are planning a north campus.
