MBE/WBE This solicitation was reviewed for subcontracting opportunities in accordance with City Code Chapter 2-9B (Minority-Owned and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Procurement Program). For the services required for this solicitation, there were no subcontracting opportunities; therefore, no subcontracting goals were established. The solicitation was issued on October 23, 2023, and closed on November 28, 2023. The recommended contractor submitted the only responsive offer. Additional Backup Information: The contract is for supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) equipment and software installation and support services for Austin Water (AW). AW uses SCADA systems to monitor and control the various water and wastewater facilities, including treatment plants, water distribution pump stations, reservoirs, and wastewater collection lift stations. The contractor will implement small SCADA improvement projects and provide SCADA support services for AW’s mission-critical SCADA systems. The required services will be performed on a scheduled and as-needed basis and will include the installation of associated hardware and software, programming, configuration, troubleshooting, and emergency support. An evaluation team with expertise in this area evaluated the offers and scored Control Panels USA, Inc. as the best to provide these services based on system concepts and solution and program, demonstrated applicable experience, personnel, small business preference, local business preference, and price.
