Additional Backup Information: The contract will provide replacement pumps, parts, and services for the KSB and Cornell pumps that operate in Lift Stations and the Handcox Water Treatment Plant. These pumps are necessary to ensure that raw sewage is pumped to a treatment plant for processing. The Handcox Water Treatment Plant uses KSB pumps as sump pumps to ensure process areas stay dry and do not flood, which could possibly cause serious damage. This contract will reduce the amount of time required to purchase, repair, and order replacement parts as needed for these pumps. This contract will reduce the purchasing time and the possibility of a sanitary sewer overflow which is reportable to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
