D/B/A International Building Services and Precision Facility Services, LLC, to provide pressure washing services, each for up to five years for total contract amounts not to exceed $2,466,300, divided between the contactors. Austin Water’s requested authorization is $400,000. Amount and Source of Funding Funding in the amount of $73,334 is available in the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Operating Budget of Austin Water. Funding for the remaining contract terms is contingent upon available funding in future budgets. The Purchasing Office issued an Invitation for Bids (IFB) 8200 LGB1006 for these services. The solicitation issued on August 17, 2020 and it closed on September 8, 2020. Of the 11 offers received, the recommended contractors submitted the lowest responsive offers. This solicitation was reviewed for subcontracting opportunities in accordance with City Code Chapter 2-9C Minority Owned and Women Owned Business Enterprise Procurement Program. For the services required for this solicitation, there were no subcontracting opportunities, therefore, no subcontracting goals were established. Purchasing Language: Prior Council Action: Boards and Commission Action: MBE/WBE: These contracts will provide pressure washing services on an as-needed basis on and around the exterior of City buildings, walkways, parking garage surfaces, stairwells, and on occasion, the interior of buildings. The contractors will utilize approved equipment that reclaims the used water and will properly dispose of the used water according to accepted City standards, thereby reducing surface runoff and the risk of groundwater contamination. They will also use Leadership in Energy, and Environmental Design, also known as LEED recognized Green Seal, EcoLogo, or other certified solvents. These contracts are needed for the preventative maintenance of City buildings and property to remove contaminants such as mold growth, algae, bird droppings, slip hazards, and other dirt and grime buildup. These contaminants, if not removed, can deteriorate a building, causing decay and further damage. Failure to have the pressure washing services will result in departments being unable to properly maintain City facilities.
