TO: M E M O R A N D U M Christopher Parks, Urban Transportation Committee Coordinator, Transportation Department April 27, 2022 F#10228-1912 Alley Right-of-Way Vacation Application Mashell Smith, Property Agent Senior, Development Services Department FROM: DATE: SUBJECT: Attached is a right of way vacation application requesting to vacate an alley tract; included are the Master Comment Reports related to the application showing all affected departments and private utility franchise stakeholders have reviewed the requests and recommend approval, subject to certain conditional approvals. 1. F#10228-1912 application is approximately 449 square foot (0.01 acre) tract of land, being the remnant 10-foot wide, unimproved alley, located between Comal St. and Concho St., and north of E. 21st St., dedicated by the Amelia Brass Subdivision of Outlot 45, Division B, recorded in Book 1, Page 25, Plat Records, Travis County, Texas. The proposed vacation tract will be added to the adjacent property and planned for future development as graduate student housing for the University of Texas System. Conditional Approval: • Grande Communication requests full reimbursement for the cost of construction if their facilities need to relocate. The Development Services Department is requesting the applications be scheduled for Urban Transportation Commission Agenda on May 3, 2022. The applicant and/or the landowner adjoining the alley, or its representative will be present at the meeting.
