All district facility rental revenue go to Athletics and Fine Arts. 4 Overview (Cont.) ● Austin ISD uses an online rental platform to handle all requests. ● Easy to navigate and search all of our campuses, along with District-wide facilities. ● Clear instructions on how to make payments and submit required documents. 5 Athletics Facilities 6 Athletics Facilities Burger Activity Center Features a 15,000-seat football stadium with press box, locker rooms and turf field; a 5,500-seat arena for basketball, volleyball or other tournaments; a 3,000-seat baseball field with press box, lights and dugouts; and a second football field for games and events. Delco Center Featuring a versatile 5,000-seat arena and a fully equipped conference room. House Park House Park is one of Austin's oldest and most beloved athletic facilities, originally established in 1939. Over the decades, it has become a vibrant hub for community events and district activities, fostering a strong sense of local pride. 7 Athletics Facilities Nelson Field Boasts an impressive 8,200-seat turf football facility, making it an ideal location for both competitive games and special events. In addition, a baseball field with a seating capacity of 300 fans, perfect for enjoying thrilling games. Noack Sports Complex Our complex features state-of-the-art soccer and softball fields, designed to host everything from casual games to high-stakes tournaments. Whether you're looking for a place to practice, play, or cheer on your team, Noack Sports Complex has it all! Yellow Jacket Stadium A historic football and track facility in East Austin. The stadium served as the main facility for Anderson High School, Austin's only public high school for Black students during segregation. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2022. 8 Performing Arts Center 9 Performing Arts Center Main Hall Features advanced acoustics and an audio-visual system with rear-projection screens on either side of the stage. A Wenger Diva Shell is available for concerts. The state-of-the-art lighting system offers versatile settings for all performance genres. The 5,200-square-foot stage provides ample space, with dressing rooms located just offstage. Lobby The Performing Arts Center's beautifully designed lobby serves as a vibrant gathering space for patrons, ideal for pre- and post-event functions. It also showcases student and staff artwork throughout the area. Black Box Theater The 200-seat theater is a flexible, intimate venue for various performing arts, including music, dance, & theatre. Its black design allows for customizable seating arrangements. The theater features acoustic diffuser panels and a catwalk lighting grid. It also serves educational purposes, with a lighting & sound booth that can be used for training in design. 10 Performing Arts Center Plaza Stage Located between the 400 space parking garage and the PAC, it is an outdoor space for informal, small-group performances with minimal technical requirements. It features a plaza and landscaped courtyard, ideal for pre- or post-show events in a relaxed, outdoor setting. Multipurpose Room The 2,500-square-foot room is versatile for small- to midsize events, such as ensemble warm-ups, UIL sight-reading, or intimate concerts. It includes a kiln for visual artists and built-in audio-visual technology for lectures, seminars, presentations, and professional development. Dance Studio The 4,200-square-foot studio serves primarily as a rehearsal space. It features full-length mirrors, ballet bars on three walls, and curtains to hide the mirrors and reduce acoustics. The studio also has a small inventory of theatrical lighting equipment, enabling it to host intimate performances. 11 Performing Arts Center Mueller Magazine Eastside Magazine Texas Thespians ETC Lighting During the 2024-2025 school year, the Performing Arts Center will host 180 events, including 7 rentals, 137 AISD events, and 36 UIL events. The average attendance per event ranges from 200 to 900 patrons, with the popular Austin ISD Summer Theatre Series (STS) often selling out all 1,200 seats. Ticket sales, managed by the PAC, are exclusive to the Summer Theatre Series, while most events throughout the year are free to the public. In 2024, 250 students from grades 6–12 across 43 AISD campuses participated in the Summer Theatre Series' Rising Stars camp, as well as in student-run productions like the Black Box show and musical. The program offers free tuition, transportation, and even meals when needed.
