First camera installed March 28, 2024 (“go live” date) – Last cameras installed early August and all operational  40 fixed location cameras  Geographically distributed across Austin  Confidential locations (per City resolution)  All sworn personnel to be trained by October 2024 – Full sworn training will allow APD to activate software in patrol cars  Retention period for APD LPR data is 7 Safety License Plate Reader (LPR) Program  Patrol results to date: – 40 arrests for stolen vehicles – 20 stolen vehicles recovered with no arrest – 7 stolen license plates recovered – 1 aggravated robbery suspect arrested – 6 warrant arrests – 1 kidnapping suspect identified  Investigations results to date: – 2 murder suspects identified/arrested – 1 aggravated robbery suspect
