MEMORANDUM To: Planning Commission Chair and Commissioners Through: Liz Johnston, Austin Watershed Protection, Environmental Officer From: Leslie Lilly, Austin Watershed Protection, Environmental Conservation Program Manager Date: August 19th, 2026 Subject: Staff Postponement for Item 14 - 5811 Southwest Parkway Site-Specific SOS Amendment The purpose of this memorandum is to request a postponement of Item 14 on the August 25, 2026, Planning Commission agenda to conduct a public hearing and consider an ordinance regarding a site-specific amendment to City Code Chapter 25-8, Subchapter A, Article 13 (Save Our Springs Initiative), as required to address development at 5811 Southwest Parkway and associated with SPC-2025-0066C. The SOS Amendment was initiated with 20190131-040, Resolution. Staff recommend that this item be postponed to October 13th, 2026, to accommodate additional stakeholder engagement requested by the community.
