JOINT INCLUSION COMMITTEE (JIC) SPECIAL CALLED MEETING AGENDA OCTOBER 5th, 2022 SPECIAL CALLED MEETING of the JOINT INCLUSION COMMITTEE (JIC) WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 5th, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. Permitting & Development Center (PDC) 6310 Wilhelmina Delco Dr, Austin, TX 78752 RM #1215 MEETING AGENDA This meeting is being held in a hybrid format, and some members of the Commission may be participating by video conference. Public comment will be allowed in-person or via telephone. Remote speakers must register in advance (October 4th by 12pm-Noon). All public comments will occur at the beginning of the meeting and public speakers will be allowed up to three minutes to provide their comments. To speak or attend remotely, residents must contact the Equity Office’s Commission/Neighborhood Liaison, Jeremy Garza, no later than 12pm-noon on Tuesday, October 4th, 2022. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. Approve the minutes of the COMMISSIONS REGULAR MEETING on August 24th, 2022. DISCUSSION AND ACTION ITEMS 2. Discussion and possible action on the Q&A document from City Clerk’s Office. Discussion and possible action on the budget calendar for the FY23-24 Budget, including budget town halls; and authorization for commissioners to speak on behalf of the JIC at budget related events. Discussion on the FY23-24 Budget Process and possible action on creating and appointing members to a new budget workgroup for the FY23-24 Budget Recommendation Cycle; including authorization to speak on behalf of the JIC at budget related events. 3. 4. 6. 7. 8. 9. OCTOBER 5th, 2022 Discussion and possible action on creating and appointing members to a new workgroup on Housing; including authorization for those workgroups members to speak on behalf of the JIC to other commission workgroups. Discussion and debrief on the Quality-of-Life Information Session on Saturday, September 10th, and possible action on creating and appointing members to a new workgroup on the Quality-of-Life Studies. Discussion and possible action on establishing any other needed working groups of the JIC in addition to the ones named above. Discussion and possible action on agenda language from the City Clerk for collaboration and authorizing commissioners to speak about commission work at other JIC member commission meetings and workgroup meetings.
