Project Description: • The project includes preliminary engineering, design and construction of a 4-lane curb & gutter Roadway with bicycle lanes, sidewalks, and storm water infrastructure on Braker Lane from Samsung Blvd to Dawes Place. Schedule: • Construction Ongoing 13 Project Development Efforts Service Area D: SIF Project D-24 – East Braker Lane extension from Samsung Boulevard to Dawes Place to include a four-lane divided road with bike lanes and sidewalks 14 Project Development Efforts Service Area DT – $1,000,000 from Service Area DT is programmed to fund the development of a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) along 7th Street between I-35 and Guadalupe Street Project Description: • This project will develop a PER to analyze SIF-eligible complete street improvements along 7th Street between I-35 and Guadalupe Street Schedule: • Summer 2025- Begin PER 15 Project Development Efforts Service Area DT: SIF Project DT-19 – the development of a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) for 7th Street between I-35 and Guadalupe Street. 16 Project Development Efforts Service Area G – $588,001 from Service Area G is programmed to Colony Park Water Pipeline betterments and roadway capacity improvements on Johnny Morris Road. Project Description: • The betterment project is leveraging a partnership with Austin Water as part of a “dig-once” approach to address overlapping capital needs. • Significant roadway capacity and safety benefits adjacent to Barbara Jordan Elementary School converting a 2-lane section to a 3-lane section to provide turn lane capacity. Schedule: • Summer 2025- Advertise construction package • Winter 2025- Begin construction 17 Project Development Efforts Service Area G: SIF Project G-11 – roadway capacity and safety improvements on Johnny Morris Road Barbara Jordan Elementary School 18 Project Development Efforts Service Area J: $498,563 from Service Area J is programmed to Project JI-52: Design and construction of a traffic signal at Berkman Drive @ Patton Lane Project Description: • A new traffic signal will provide mobility improvements and enhance safety along Berkman Drive Schedule: • Summer 2025- Complete Design • Fall 2025- Begin Construction 19 Project Development Efforts Service Area J: SIF Project JI-52 - traffic signal at Berkman Drive @ Patton Lane 20 Next Steps • Continue preliminary design for priority projects • Continue to consult other programs and divisions on overlapping projects • Update public-facing dashboard with fee collection and expenditure information • Prepare for additional funding opportunities to supplement SIF project delivery 21 Questions?
