Sturgill, Hunter From: Sent: To: Subject: RS Kish Monday, July 27, 2026 7:04 PM Historic Preservation Office Case number: HR 2026-071919 - 705 West Lynn St Follow Up Flag: Flag Status: Follow up Flagged Categories: Blue Category External Email - Exercise Caution Attention: Hunter Sturgill Hunter, I object to the approval of this application as presented. While I support thoughtful reinvestment in the neighborhood, the applicant has provided no architectural drawings, elevations, demolition information, or design details that would allow myself, OWANA zoning, or the Historic Landmark Commission to evaluate the proposal's compatibility with the surrounding historic district. Because this property is located within a National Register Historic District, I respectfully request that the Historic Landmark Commission carefully consider the impact of the project on the historic character of the district and on the established streetscape along West Lynn. I would encourage retention of the existing front-facing structure, or at a minimum preservation of the front façade and primary street presence, so that the property continues to reflect the scale, rhythm, and architectural character that define this portion of the neighborhood. In the absence of design drawings and information regarding the treatment of the existing structure, I do not believe the public has sufficient information to evaluate the proposal. I therefore request either: denial of the application as currently submitted; or postponement of the case until architectural plans are made available and OWANA zoning and the neighbors can adequately assess the project's impact on the historic district.
