(Postponed by applicant on May 6, 2026) Applicant: Robbie MacGregor City Staff: Austin Lukes, Historic Preservation Office, 512-978-0766 Staff Recommendation: Postpone the public hearing to the July 1, 2026 Historic Landmark Commission meeting and invite the applicant to the June 10, 2026 meeting of the Architectural Review Committee to discuss alternatives to demolition. Robbie MacGregor spoke in favor. MOTION: Close the public hearing on a motion by Commissioner Harris, seconded by Commissioner Grogan. Vote 10-0. The motion passed. (Postponed by HLC on May 6, 2026) Applicant: Jennifer Alonzi City Staff: Kalan Contreras, Historic Preservation Office, 512-974-2727 Staff Recommendation: Concur with Architectural Review Committee feedback, and either postpone the public hearing to July 1, 2026 and invite the applicant to the June 10, 2026 meeting of the Architectural Review Committee for feedback on alternate plans, or deny the Certificate of Appropriateness. While the new construction proposal mostly meets the design standards, staff cannot recommend the removal of a contributing building in a locally designated historic district.
