Learn why this is important at External Email - Exercise Caution Hi, We understand that a demo permit for the 607 E. 38th St is in front of the commission on Wednesday, and as a family who lives in the neighborhood we are concerned about the demolition of a potential historically significant house to maybe be replaced by a who knows what ugly box like those appearing all over Austin. That would be very detrimental to the character of this very historic neighborhood. We urge you not to approve this demo. A renovation and addition would be a much better way to utilize this site and preserve the historic nature of this house and neighborhood which is so important to our community.
