HISTORIC LANDMARK COMMISSION WEDNESDAY, January 8th, 2025 – 6:00 PM Permitting and Development Center – Room 1405 6310 Wilhelmina Delco Drive Austin, TX 78752 Some members of the Commission may be participating by videoconference. The meeting may be viewed online at: http://www.austintexas.gov/page/watch-atxn-live. Public comment will be allowed in-person or remotely via telephone. Speakers may only register to speak on an item once either in-person or remotely and will be allowed up to three minutes to provide their comments. Registration no later than noon the day before the meeting is required for remote participation by telephone. The applicant has amended the design to incorporate Committee and neighborhood feedback, increasing upper-story setbacks, reconstructing the iconic but deteriorated storefront elevation in-kind, and retaining the mural and non-deteriorated brickwork at the secondary elevation. Demolition permits in National Register Historic Districts may not be pulled until the plans for new construction have been reviewed by the Historic Landmark Commission. Alternatively, postpone the public hearing to invite the applicant to the Architectural Review Committee to discuss alternatives to total demolition.
