HR-2024-123060 – 1003 Maufrais St. West Line National Register Historic District Council District 9 Proposal: Addition and remodel, new construction of a cabana and pool. HR-2024-150514 – 1113-1115 West Lynn St. West Line National Register Historic District Council District 9 Proposal: Partial demolition, reconstruction of west façade, new construction. (Postponed December 4, 2024) Applicant: Victoria Haase City Staff: Kalan Contreras, Historic Preservation Office, 512-974-2727 Staff Recommendation: Concur with Committee feedback. Comment on plans. The applicant has amended the design to incorporate Committee and neighborhood feedback, increasing upper-story setbacks, reconstructing the iconic but deteriorated storefront elevation in-kind, and retaining the mural and non-deteriorated brickwork at the secondary 3 elevation. 12. PR-2024-159632 – 705 West Lynn St. West Line National Register Historic District Council District 9 Proposal: Total demolition. Applicant: DAR Construction City Staff: Austin Lukes, Historic Preservation Office, 512-978-0766 Staff Recommendation: Encourage rehabilitation and adaptive reuse, then relocation over demolition, but release the demolition permit only upon receipt of a City of Austin Documentation Package. Demolition permits in National Register Historic Districts may not be pulled until the plans for new construction have been reviewed by the Historic Landmark Commission. Alternatively, postpone the public hearing to invite the applicant to the Architectural Review Committee to discuss alternatives to total demolition. 13. HR-2024-163092 – 2426 Hartford Rd. Old West Austin National Register Historic District Council District 10 Proposal: New construction. Applicant: Jennifer Smith City Staff: Austin Lukes, Historic Preservation Office, 512-978-0766 Staff Recommendation: Approve the application. Demolition and Relocation Permit Applications 14. DA-2024-088952 – 8401 Hathaway Dr. Council District 4 Proposal: Total demolition. (Postponed December 4, 2024) Applicant: Austin Independent School District City Staff: Kalan Contreras, Historic Preservation Office, 512-974-2727 Staff Recommendation: Encourage material salvage where possible and require completion of a City of Austin Documentation Package prior to release of the demolition permit. 15.
