The property must be 50 years old and must represent a period of significance of at least 50 years ago. The property must retain a high degree of integrity, as defined by the National Register of Historic Places, that clearly conveys its historical significance and does not include an addition or alteration which has significantly compromised its integrity. Architecture ARCHITECURE CRITERIA: × Embodies the distinguishing characteristics of a recognized architectural style, type, or method of construction; HLC Report × Exemplifies technological innovation in design or construction; × Displays high artistic value in representing ethnic or folk art, architecture, or construction; × Represents a rare example of an architectural style in the city; × Serves as an outstanding example of the work of an architect, builder, or artisan who significantly contributed to the development of the city, state, or nation; × Possesses cultural, historical, or architectural value as a particularly fine or unique example of a utilitarian or vernacular structure; or × Represents an architectural curiosity or one- of-a-kind building. “eclectic house with early Ranch and vernacular stylistic influences applied to what appears to be an early- twentieth-century vernacular farmhouse. It is one and one- half stories in height, with an L- shaped plan and intersecting partial-width porches. Its compound roofline features deep eaves with cedar shakes at gable ends. Fenestration includes 8:8 wood windows of varying dimensions. “ ii. Archaeology ARCHAEOLOGY CRITERIA LDC 25-2-352: The property has, or is expected to yield, significant data concerning the human history or prehistory of the region. FACTS: • No evidence of archaeologically significant data or history of the region has been observed or supported. • The natural characteristics (springs and remain undisturbed via wetlands) will environmental regulations. iv. Community Value COMMUNITY CRITERIA: The property has a unique location, physical characteristic, or significant feature that contributes to the character, image, or cultural identity of the city, a neighborhood, or a particular group. FACTS: • Running Rope Ranch history is the basis for Historical Associations. • The Property is not currently in use and is closed to the public. iv. Community Value v. Landscape Feature LANDSCAPE CRITERIA: The property is a significant natural or designed landscape or landscape feature with artistic, aesthetic, cultural, or historical value to the city. FACTS: The natural characteristics (springs and wetlands) will remain undisturbed and protected via environmental regulations. Critical Environmental Feature (CEF) v. Landscape Feature Request We respectfully request that you grant the off-site relocation permit for this structure, currently located at 7304 Knox Lane. 1940 aerial photo: Described as showing a "simpler house form and undeveloped farmstead." This indicates that much of what exists now was not part of the original property, potentially diminishing its historical integrity. 1958 aerial photo: Shows "additions to main house and outbuildings."
