We want to preserve that and keep it where it originates.” “We are pricing ourselves out of our city and losing our history at the same time.” “Without a past and a culture we lose our humanity and our connections to each other and our environment.” “Execution is critical. If the city commits to the plan they need to do it. People have long memories.” Next Steps Spring 2024 Intensive outreach & engagement Summer 2024 Draft plan revised by Preservation Plan Committee and Working Group August TBD Joint meeting of HLC and Working Group Fall 2024 Board and commission briefings Nov. 21, 2024 (target date) Council review and adoption GET FEEDBACK ON DRAFT PLAN REVISE + FINALIZE THE PLAN REVIEW + ADOPTION • 4 joint meetings • Drafting Committee meetings • 17 City boards and commissions • Commissions can make a recommendation to Council IMPLEMENT THE PLAN
