My understanding is that the Preservation office will not oppose the construction/restoration project at this site. While I am glad to see that the owners wish to rehabilitate this property rather than raze it, I am concerned about the loss of yet another piece of the historic fabric of the neighborhood in terms of appropriate massing on the site. I urge you to restrict the applicant's ability to add on in such a way that the project will further undermine the historical integrity of the neighborhood, already so much under threat. I additionally ask that you grant a continuance on this application in order to provide the stakeholders with time to review the 44 pages of documents related to the project to fully assess its likely impact on the neighborhood.
