Discussion of working group meeting/topic schedule The committee was supportive of the revised schedule Mention general themes (e.g., affordability, property owner rights) under the heading of related meetings B. Debrief from October 14 working group meeting B.1. Vision statement for plan Historic preservation in Austin actively engages communities in protecting and sharing important places and stories. Preservation uses the past to create a shared sense of belonging and to shape an equitable, inclusive, sustainable, and economically vital future for all. o The committee felt that the vision statement was elegant and powerful. o Committee members particularly commented on the inclusion and importance of a shared sense of belonging.
