Purchasing Language: The Financial Services Department issued a Request for Proposals solicitation RFP 1100 DPL3005 for these services. The solicitation was issued on March 31, 2025, and closed on April 20, 2025. Of the four offers received, the recommended contractors submitted the best evaluated responsive offers. MBE/WBE: This contract will be awarded in accordance with the City Code Chapter 2-9B (Minority-Owned and Women- Owned Business Enterprise Procurement Program). For the services required for this solicitation, there were no subcontracting opportunities; therefore, no subcontracting goals were established. Additional Backup Information: These contracts are to provide high-level space planning and design services to support Austin Energy’s dynamic operational needs. The services will assist with planning and implementing office reconfigurations, employee moves, ergonomic improvements, and the development of space utilization strategies across Austin Energy operated facilities. This work supports departmental goals and operational efficiency. The contractors will provide recurring small- and large-scale space planning services ranging from individual workstations to reconfigurations exceeding 100,000 square feet. The recommended contractors are not the Item 7 current providers for these services. An evaluation team with expertise in this area evaluated the offers and scored Levy Architects, PLLC d/b/a Levy Dykema and Sixthriver Inc. d/b/a Sixthriver as the best to provide these services based on quality of previous work in portfolio, technical expertise and experience, approach and methodology, and pricing. Without this contract, there would be a delay in critical space planning efforts, which would hinder Austin Energy’s ability to onboard staff, reconfigure facilities, and meet operational needs efficiently.
