Additional Backup Information: The contract will provide Austin Energy (AE) with cloud-based enterprise risk management and risk management information systems to better manage and mitigate risks associated with contractor insurance to the AE organization. These systems, through an integrated platform, will automate the risk review process by consolidating data and identifying risk correlations, resulting in improved efficiency and business continuity when evaluating and identifying risks to the organization. These systems will also be used to track certificates of insurance and to assist with AE’s claims management efforts. An evaluation team with expertise in this area evaluated all offers and scored Riskonnect, Inc. as the best to provide these services based on price, service-disabled veteran business enterprise, local preference, functionality and relevance, and experience and support. Without this contract, AE will continue utilizing programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel, to manually track insurance compliance, manage claims, and evaluate risks, leading to errors and decreased risk visibility. Item 4 Posting Language ..Title Authorize negotiation and execution of an amendment to a contract for continued purchase of A10 Networks products and services, including hardware replacement and software support, with Innovation Network Technologies Corporation d/b/a InNet to increase the amount by $1,600,000 and to extend the term by one year for a revised total contract amount not to exceed $2,293,000. [Note: This contract was reviewed for subcontracting opportunities in accordance with City Code Chapter 2- 9B (Minority-Owned and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Procurement Program). Prior Council Action: September 14, 2023 – Council approved a contract for A10 Networks products and services, including maintenance, training, and support services with Innovation Network Technologies Corporation d/b/a InNet. Additional Backup Information: The contract amendment will provide hardware replacement for the existing end-of-life A10 Networks products for load balancer hardware. Load balancer hardware distributes web application traffic to prevent application servers from becoming overwhelmed. A10 Networks hardware is utilized in all Austin Energy data centers providing load balancing for domain name services, web services, and data power in support of virtually all Austin Energy-hosted applications. Additional time and funding are needed to incorporate hardware replacement and associated maintenance costs that were planned but inadvertently omitted from the original request. Without this contract, Austin Energy would be unable to replace outdated hardware. Item 5 ..Title Posting Language Authorize negotiation and execution of all documents and instruments necessary or desirable to acquire a Permanent Electric Transmission and Distribution Easement, consisting of approximately 0.0840 acres (3,658 square feet), of land, generally located at 7008 South Interstate Highway 35, Austin, Texas 78745 from Ronald L. Sims and Donna M. Sims, in an amount not to exceed $106,838.08, including standard and customary closing costs and fees. ..De Lead Department Austin Energy Prior Council Action: Fiscal Note Funding in the amount of $106,838.08 is available in the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Capital Budget of Austin Energy. Additional Backup Information: Various structures along the existing circuits (Ckts) 926/927, 987 and 988, require relocation due to accommodate Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT’s) expansion of interstate highway 35 (I35) as part of their I35 Capital Express program. TxDOT’s Capital Express – South Section project runs along I-35 from State Highway (SH) 71 down to SH-45. The current fair market value of the 7008 South Interstate Highway 35 tract, as determined by an independent, third-party appraiser, is $104,253.00. The amount of the City’s payment to the easement purchase prices plus closing costs not to exceed $106,838.08, including standard and customary closing costs and fees.
