Whatley made a motion to approve the project as it substantially complies with the Urban Design Guidelines Commissioner J. Rollason seconded. • The motion was approved [8 ayes, 0 nays] c. Haneo-Robledo made a motion to approve the project as it complies with the City Design and Sustainability Standards Commissioner B. Discussion and possible action to evaluate and make recommendations regarding whether City of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport AUS Cargo Development East located at 9402 Freight Lane, complies with the City Design and Sustainability Standards, for the City of Austin; David Smythe-Macaulay Austin-Bergstrom International Airport • This item has been postponed to the December 13th Design Commission meeting. g. Discussion and possible action to evaluate and make recommendations regarding whether the Zilker Metro Park - Barton Springs Bathhouse Rehabilitation located at 2100 Barton Springs Drive, complies with the City Design and Sustainability Standards, for the City of Austin; Ellen Colfax City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department; Laurie Limbacher Limebacher Godfrey Architects • Ellen Colfax City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department; Laurie Limbacher Limebacher Godfrey Architects presented and addressed questions. • Commissioner J. Rollason made a motion to approve the project as it complies with the City Design and Sustainability Standards Commissioner J. Meiners seconded. • The motion was approved [8 ayes, 0 nays] h. Discussion and possible action to evaluate and make recommendations regarding whether 4th and Brazos, located at 204-208 E. 4th Street, complies with the Urban Design Guidelines for the city of Austin; Chi Lee Perkins+ Will, Amanda Surman Armbrust & Brown, Richard Shuttle Armbrust & Brown • Chi Lee Perkins+ Will, Justin Gesch (Michael Hsu Office of Architecture) and Brett Keese (Ten Eyck Landscape Architects) presented and addressed questions. • Commissioner J. Rollason made a motion to approve the project as it substantially complies with the Urban Design Guidelines Commissioner E. Taniguchi seconded. • The motion was approved [8 ayes, 0 nays] i. Discussion and possible action to evaluate and make recommendations regarding whether 415 Colorado, located at 415 Colorado Street, complies with the Urban Design Guidelines for the city of Austin; Michele Lynch Metcalfe Wolff Stuart and Williams, Axel Weisheit Ziegler Cooper Architects, Matt Klein TBG Partners. Coleman made a motion to approve the project as it substantially complies with the Urban Design Guidelines. Commissioner J. Weaver seconded. • Commissioner B. Whatley requested a friendly amendment to include comments from Commission A. Coleman and Commissioner J. Rollason. • Commissioner A. Coleman amended the motion to approve the project as it substantially complies with the Urban Design Guidelines with additional pavement design extending to the food court area, add seating options between the two column bays adjacent to outdoor food kiosk area for better connection and street activation,public restroom access, and a coffee kiosk in the lobby area. Commissioner J. Weaver seconded the amendment. • The motion failed [ 5ayes, 2 nays, 1 abstain] • Commissioner A. Coleman made motion to approve the project as it substantially complies with the Urban Design Guidelines with the following caveats, that the paving pattern is extended under the outdoor kiosk area, that the two niche pocket areas are added between the columns along the streetscape for outdoor seating and dining to encourage more continuity of that use along the streetscape, access to public restrooms through the lobby and a coffee kiosk or something similar in the lobby to encourage activation by residents during certain times of the day with a follow up memo. Commissioner J. Rollason seconded. • The motion was approved [ 6 ayes, 0 nays, 2 abstain] 2. COMMISSION-SPECIFIC BUSINESS (Discussion and Possible Action): a.
