Rationale: Dear Honorable Mayor & City Council, This letter is to confirm the Design Commission’s support of the City of Austin Fire Station 03 as presented to us. Our review found the following attributes: 1. New addition respects the historic building design 2. Project is following LEED green building criteria 3. Project preserves relationship to the street 4. Will finally allow the fire trucks to be parked inside apparatus bays, protection valuable city infrastructure.
