MEETING MINUTES November 9, 2020 Austin-Travis County Food Policy Board The Austin-Travis County Food Policy Board (ATCFPB) convened on Monday, November 9, 2020 VIA VIDEOCONFERENCING http://www.austintexas.gov/page/watch-atxn-live Board Members in Attendance: Andrea Abel, Alejandra Boughton, Felipe Camacho (joined dais at 8:10 am), Joy Casnovsky, Joi Chevalier, Emily De Maria, Kacey Hanson, Karen Magid (Chair), Kara Prior (Vice-Chair), Ellen Sweets Absent board members: Ryan Rosshirt, Sharon Mays Staff in Attendance: Edwin Marty, Amanda Rohlich CALL TO ORDER Board Chair Karen Magid called the meeting to order at 8:07 am CITIZEN COMMUNICATION: GENERAL a. none 1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM OCTOBER MEETING Board Member Kara Prior motioned to approve the meeting minutes from October 12, 2020, with Board Member Ellen Sweets seconding the motion. Passed on a 10-0 vote. 2. NEW BUSINESS a. Board Infrastructure and Protocol i. Review Board Members’ meetings with City and County Officials b. Board Vacancies 3. NEW BUSINESS i. Travis County Precinct Three, Ann Howard a. FY 2021 Strategic Planning Review and Discussion (continued from October meeting) i. Notes taken on draft plan; to be added to a google doc b. Discuss and approve 2021 meeting schedule c. Working Group Briefings and Recommendations i. Build Opportunities for Food Entrepreneurs i. APH EHS to present to ZWAC on 11/18/20 ii. APH EHS to present to ATCFPB on 12/7/2020 iii. Full report to City Council in Jan 2021 ii. Support Farms & Farmers – issues with virtual meetings iii.
