Speakers may only register to speak on an item once either in-person or remotely and will be allowed up to three minutes to provide their comments. Registration no later than noon the day before the meeting is required for remote participation by telephone. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Approve the minutes of the Mayor’s Committee for People with Disabilities regular meeting on April 8, 2022. STAFF BRIEFING Presentation by Ana Montiel, Program Manager, Neighborhood Services Unit, and Dana Nielsen, Social Worker, Austin Public Health, on the work of the Self Sufficiency Case Management Program. DISCUSSION AND ACTION ITEMS Approve the Mayor’s Committee for People with Disabilities 2025 Regular Meeting Schedule. Discussion of the Equity Based Preservation Plan and approval of a Recommendation to Council. DISCUSSION ITEMS Presentation by Ron Lucey, Executive Director, and Norman Kieke, Community Outreach & Information Specialist, with the Governor’s Committee on People with Disabilities regarding information about local Texas committees and their impact on issues relevant to persons with disabilities, along with information on the annual Lex Frieden Employment Awards. Discussion of ways to improve sidewalk accessibility by encouraging residents to park scooters in the street rather than on walkways. Update from the Joint Inclusion Committee (JIC) representative on the JIC Budget Input Sessions for Fiscal Year 2026. Discussion of Disability Employment and Entrepreneur Awards. 10.
