Public comment will be allowed in-person or remotely via telephone. Speakers may only register to speak on an item once, either in-person or remotely, and will be allowed up to three minutes to provide their comments. Registration no later than noon the day before the meeting is required for remote participation by telephone. Approve the minutes of the Urban Renewal Board’s (URB’s) regular-called meeting on August 19, 2024 1 of 2 DISCUSSION ITEMS Discussion related to updates on future development of Blocks 16 & 18 from Rally Austin (formerly Austin Economic Development Corporation), including project status and anticipated timeline (Anne Gatling Haynes, Rally Austin) Staff briefing and Discussion related to the annual budget process (Mandy DeMayo, Interim Director, Housing Department) Staff briefing regarding the African American Cultural Heritage District Resolution No. 20210902-048 (Matthew Schmidt, Global Business Expansion Division Program Manager III, Economic Development Department) DISCUSSION AND ACTION ITEMS Discuss and approve a recommendation to City Council regarding the request to amend the Urban Renewal Plan to allow additional uses at 1201 E 11th St (Paul Stables) EXECUTIVE SESSION Discuss legal matters related to the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of an interest in Blocks 16 and 18 located on East 11th Street in Austin (Private consultation with legal counsel - Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code) Discuss real estate matters related to the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of an interest in Blocks 16 and 18 located on East 11th Street in Austin (Real Property - Section 551.072 of the Texas Government Code) Discuss legal matters related to a potential conflict of interest with AEDC/RallyAustin (Private consultation with legal counsel – Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code).
