The request is made for the following reasons: 1) Many of the stakeholders may be on summer vacation and unable to attend because they are out of town. Because of the pandemic, families were not able to travel last summer but are making up for it this summer before school starts in mid-August. 2) Many of the stakeholders have not yet received notification from the city of Austin about the hearing scheduled for July 13th. Neither the Crestview Neighborhood Association nor the Crestview Neighborhood Plan Contact team have received mailed notices as of Thursday, July 8th. In addition, I have been informed that some of the stakeholders within 200 feet of the subject tract have also not yet received notice of the scheduled hearing and there may be others that I'm not aware of that have not received their notice. 3) A postponement will allow additional time for further discussions between the applicant and neighborhood residents on various issues related to this case.
