PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD RECOMMENDATION 20260323-4 Date: March 23, 2026 Subject: Local Standards of Care Motioned By: Pedro Villalobos Seconded By: Diane Kearns-Osterweil Recommendation The Parks and Recreation Board recommends to Austin City Council to adopt Local Standards of Care for City of Austin youth programs. Vote: The motion to approve a recommendation to Austin City Council to adopt Local Standards of Care for City of Austin youth programs was approved on Board Member Villalobos’ motion, Board Member Kearns-Osterweil’s second on an 8-0 vote. Board Members Abou-Emara, Orme and Taylor absent. For: Stephanie Bazan, Kathryn Flowers, Lane Becker, Ted Eubanks, Jennifer Franklin, Diane Kearns-Osterweil, Nicole Merritt and Pedro Villalobos.
