APR received the 2019-2022 independent audit as requested. The additional independent audit for 2023 and 2024 is expected to be provided no later than June 30, 2025, as of July 24 meeting nothing received. FY25 Vendor Activity (YTD) *EpicSUP Quarter 4 meeting scheduled for August 26. Quarter 3 meeting held in May 2025 with TTC and the concessionaire as part of ongoing contract management by APR, EpicSUP current with reporting requirements under the contract. Expedition School Quarter 4 meeting is scheduled for August 26th. APR received confirmation from the independent auditor that the audit for 2024 has kicked off as required by the contract. APRs contract manager will monitor progress and provide updates as received. A quarterly meeting is planned for August. Discussion of alternate locations is still ongoing. LoneStar Excursion Boats Quarter 4 meeting scheduled for August 26. On June 23, temporary parking for LSR was removed due to construction. The agreement with Lone Star Riverboat was extended to 7/31/2026 to allow time to determine a future concession at location due to construction and land development. Concessionaire continues to provide manifest for hauled liquid waste as pump outs occur. Austin Rowing Club Texas Rowing Center Rowing Dock Quarter 4 meeting held on July 11th. In May, APR Project Manager and contract manager held a quarterly meeting with the concessionaire and discussed the need to obtain a Layout Inspection, Engineer Concurrence Letter, Fire Marshal Inspection, and Certificate of Occupancy for the completed dock which is still in progress. Once this is complete, any restorative planting, with guidance from Watershed Protection, is expected. On June 16 an amended extension was signed to clarify language from Resolulution No. 20220901-085. The amendment extends the agreement until December 31, 2027 or sixty days prior to the commencement of demolition of the Waller Creek Boathouse, as such date is reflected in the City's demolition contract and the approved permit for demolition, whichever occurs first. On June 9th ARC promptly reported an incident involving a paddleboarder hit @ 5am, no injuries. In February, ARC proposed a guided bike tour offering. APR has asked for a legal opinion if allowable under the current agreement as a consideration prior to making a final review and approval of the request is still pending. APR contract manager held a quarterly meeting with concessionaire in July. No issues were noted. The management and operation revenue concession contract with Texas Rowing Center was assigned and assumed by the Trail Conservancy (TTC) at the beginning of August as outlined in the Parkland Operation and Maintenance agreement (POMA) between the City and TTC. Accordingly, all revenue payments will go directly to TTC going forward. APR staff will continue to monitor the contract and work directly with TTC. Quarterly meeting planned for August. Concessionaire inquired about additional no parking signage needed along Stratford due to ongoing customer ticketing. APR requested three additional signs be installed. APR provided solicitation documents to Financial Services Department - Central Procurement (FSD) for review and in preparation of the solicitation process. APR anticipates Centeral Procurement releasing a request for proposal (RFP) in September for the Operation & Management of a Watercraft Concession on Stratford Drive location currently know as Rowing Dock. Zilker Park Boat Rental A quarterly meeting was held July 18. ZPBR was asked about Safety Report, any implementation of the recommendations will occur after a new agreement is executed. FY25 Annual Concession Reporting Activity 3 8/18/2025 *Zilker Eagle Zilker Café Quarterly meeting planned for August 26th. On August 5th, APF reported a broken axle on the locomotive, the axle has been repaired but a problem still exists with the propane delivery system, which they hope to repair and then reopen by Wednesday, August 20th. Zilker Eagle celebrated it's one year anniversary on June 14th and offered free rides and refreshments for the public. On June 5th, APF reported a group of teens harassing Zilker Eagle and APR staff, also wedging a battery from one of the rentable electric scooters into the tracks. On May 27th, APF reported damage to the track caused by a motor vehicle jumping the curb. The train shutdown due to repairs to the track and resumed regular operations on June 3rd. APF resumed regular operations on March 9th after being closed since January 7 for scheduled maintenance and saw the largest number of rides since opening during the month. A complaint received in April regarding rider safety was looked into by the APR safety team. The safety team observed train operations and noted that due to train speed and rider education the risk was minimal. The safety team did provide additional recommendations of minor vegetation trimming, a maximum height sign at each tunnel entrance, a recording in Spanish be played prior to embarkation, and paint in caution yellow, or place reflective tape, along the inner edges of the tunnels. A solicitation Request for Proposal (RFP) was issued at Austin Finance Online by Central Procurement on February 24, 2025. The solicitation closed on April 3, 2025 after a two week extension with one respondent, Legacy Hospitality and Entertainment Group LLC. On June 23rd, the Parks Board recommended to Council to authorize the negotiation and execution of a contract for the operation and management of the Café located in Zilker Park.
