The spring is located on the proponent’s property and seeps out of rock bedding planes and fractures at the head of a small unnamed valley. Travertine deposits are found at the spring. The proponent has used the name Ebba Springs for several years. An aquatic biologist with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Water Resources Branch recently surveyed the springs and used the name Ebba Springs in the report. The proponent refers to the property as the “Ebba Springs Wildlife Refuge” and the house and property have been part of the annual Austin Weird Homes Tour.
