Proposal for an Expanded Texas Music Museum 5 The Texas Music Museum, 501(c)(3), tax exempt non-profit organization, has thrived for over 40 years due to the passion and dedication by its group of volunteers and visionaries. Our research, programs, and exhibits have been made possible by dedicated volunteers committed to preserving all aspects of Texas music history. Our museum serves as a vital place in Austin for learning about Texas music by local, national and global visitors. We are not expecting to become a world class Texas Music Museum center overnight. However, after 40 years of research, presentation, extensive exhibits and enriching music programs, we seek support from the city to assist the Texas Music Museum with both short-term and long-term funding, expanded climate control exhibit, storage, operations and staff. This funding is crucial to maintain and expand our extensive collection, exhibits, programs. Texas Music Museum is passionate about locating TMM in East Austin - the birth place of so many nationally famous musicians. Since its inception, the Texas Music Museum in Austin has witnessed numerous other attempts to create a Texas Music Museum/Hall of Fame in cities like Austin, Houston, Ft. Worth, and New Braunfels. These endeavors did not materialize or operated for only a short period of time. The Texas Music Museum consistently attracts visitors from across the globe. Travelers from over 30 countries and every state in the U.S. have visited the museum. Seeking new space is crucial to enable these monetization efforts and support the museum's growth and sustainability. We plan to develop a comprehensive monetization strategy for the Texas Music Museum, which includes leveraging renting out our newly expanded space. By offering our facilities for private events, corporate functions, and weddings, we aim to create a steady revenue stream that will contribute to the museum's financial sustainability. This initiative will not only generate essential funds but also increase community engagement and awareness of the museum's offerings. Through strategic marketing and targeted outreach, we will position the museum as a premier venue, ensuring a consistent flow of rental income to support our mission and operations. In addition to rental income, we will diversify our revenue streams through regular fundraising events and show admissions.
