Chair Perez-Wiseley recessed the Municipal Civil Service Commission meeting to go into closed session at 4:47 p.m. The Commission deliberated in closed session on the appeal filed by Alex Shahidi regarding their Discharge from the Austin Code Department. Closed session ended and Chair Perez-Wiseley called the Municipal Civil Service Commission meeting back to order at 5:25 p.m. c. Possible action and decision on the appeal filed by Alex Shahidi regarding their Discharge from the Austin Code Department. The motion to deny Alex Shahidi’s appeal and uphold the decision made by the City of Austin in the Discharge of Alex Shahidi was approved on Chair Perez-Wiseley's motion, Commissioner Frazier’s second, on a vote of 3-0. 3.
