The Committee's objective is to provide the Board with an opportunity to review finance budgets, operations and policies to ensure that HACA's strategic and program goals are being met. The Audit and Budget Committee consists of all members of HACA's Board of Commissioners. No votes on any matter shall be taken during the Audit and Budget Committee Meeting. On March 16, 2020, the Governor of Texas suspended certain open meeting laws in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) disaster. This action allows governmental bodies, including the Housing Authority of the City of Austin and its subsidiaries, to conduct meetings by telephone or video conference to advance the public health goal of limiting face- to-face meetings to slow the spread of COVID-19.
