RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL Environmental Commission Recommendation 20260701-004: Austin Water Capital Improvement Projects located in the Drinking Water Protection Zone WHEREAS, Austin Water presented and updated the Environmental Commission on new and existing growth-related Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects located in the Drinking Water Protection Zone; and WHEREAS, the Austin Water provides adequate drinking water and reliable systems for current and future customers; and WHEREAS, the Environmental Commission requests that the 2027 report should reflect any water leak detection or abatement in the drinking water zone. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Environmental Commission recommends approval of the request for inclusion of the CIP projects in Austin Water’s 5-year capital spending budget.
