September 18, 2026 Agenda Item #4: Misquote of a public comment made at the August 21, 2026, CPRC meeting. “A member of the public that spoke at the beginning of the last CPRC meeting, 21 August, was later misquoted in the meeting. A formal request has been made for a public correction of her statements. She does not support buying duplicate equipment for APD, nor increases to their funding, especially where it interferes with the implementation of multimodal and/or more effective approaches to safety and when police are not forced to improve overall quality of interaction outcomes. She does support reasonable discussion on these topics when and where appropriate to ensure best outcomes for community safety.”
