Meeting of the Codes and Ordinances Joint Committee April 21, 2021 Codes and Ordinances Joint Committee to be held April 21, 2021, with Social Distancing Modifications To speak remotely at the Codes and Ordinances Joint Committee Meeting, residents must: •Call or email the board liaison at (512) 364-8304 or greg.dutton@austintexas.gov no later than noon, April 20. The information required is the speaker name, item number(s) they wish to speak on, whether they are for/against/neutral, and a telephone number or email address. •Once a request to speak has been called in or emailed to the board liaison, residents will receive either an email or phone call providing the telephone number to call on the day of the scheduled meeting. •Speakers must call in at least 15 minutes prior to meeting start in order to speak, late callers will not be accepted and will not be able to speak. •Speakers will be placed in a queue until their time to speak. •Handouts or other information may be emailed to greg.dutton@austintexas.gov by Noon the day before the scheduled meeting. Introduce members of the Committee and Staff. 2. Inform audience of procedure. 3. The first three speakers signed up prior to the meeting being called to order will each be allowed a three-minute allotment to address their concerns regarding timers not posted on the agenda. 1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES a. Approval of the August 21, 2020 meeting minutes. 2. NEW BUSINESS a. Election of Officers. Elect a chair and vice-chair of the Codes and Ordinances Joint Committee. 3. POTENTIAL CODE AMENDMENTS: Proposed for Discussion and/or Initiation Potential amendments to the code are offered for discussion and/or possible recommendation for initiation. If initiated, Staff will research the proposal and report back to the subcommittee. a. None. 4. REGULAR AGENDA: Previously Initiated Previously initiated amendments to the code are offered for discussion and possible recommendation to the full Planning Commission. a. University Neighborhood Overlay (UNO) District Sign Regulations. Discuss and consider an amendment to City Code Title 25 relating to sign regulations in the University Neighborhood Overlay (UNO) District.
