Speakers may only register to speak on an item once either in-person or remotely and will be allowed up to three minutes to provide their comments. Registration no later than noon the day before the meeting is required for remote participation by telephone. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. Approve the minutes from the Firefighters’, Police Officers’, and Emergency Medical Services Personnel’s Civil Service Commission Regular Meeting on December 2, 2024. DISCUSSION AND ACTION ITEMS Hear and rule on appeal(s) from the Austin Police Department Lieutenant written promotional examination administered on December 12, 2024, pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code, Section 143.034, and the City of Austin Fire Fighters’, Police Officers’ and Emergency Medical Services Personnel’s Civil Service Commission Rules and Regulations, Rule 7. Discussion and possible action regarding the request one or more Fire Department candidate(s) to the Commission to appoint three-member boards per Texas Local Government Code section 143.022(c) for another mental or physical examination, as applicable. Discussion and possible action regarding the election of the Chair of the Firefighters’, Police Officers’, and Emergency Medical Services Personnel’s Civil Service Commission in compliance with Commission rule 3.03. Discussion and possible action regarding the election of the Vice Chair of the Firefighters’, Police Officers’, and Emergency Medical Services Personnel’s Civil Service Commission in compliance with Commission rule 3.03. Discussion and action to approve future meeting dates and times.
