Speakers may only register to speak on an item once either in-person or remotely and will be allowed up to three minutes to provide their comments. If necessary, the Commission will go into closed session, as permitted by law regarding any item on this agenda. Hear and rule on appeal(s) from the Austin Fire Department Fire Specialist written promotional examination administered on August 6, 2024, pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code, Section 143.034, and the City of Austin Fire Fighters’, Police Officers’ and Emergency Medical Services Personnel’s Civil Service Commission Rules and Regulations, Rule 7. Discussion and action to approve future meeting dates and times. 4. Report from the Civil Service Office regarding promotional examination processes, disciplinary hearings, and fitness-for-duty actions. 3.
