Variance request: fencing at 4523 Avenue G Victoria Goodman & Mark Sainsbury Owners ITEM05/1-PRESENTATION Background: pool • Because of the pool we built, we constructed a new fence along our southern and eastern boundaries for which we received variance C15-2009-0013 (unanimous approval). • Along our eastern boundary the total height of the 2009 fence is 9 feet: 6 feet solid topped by 3 feet ornamental trellis. • When we acquired the immediately adjacent property to our north, we extended the eastern fence and continued it along our northern boundary, with an exactly matching 9 foot fence: 6 feet solid topped by 3 feet ornamental trellis. • That is the fence for which we now seek a variance. ITEM05/12-PRESENTATION Good fences make good neighbors • We consulted our immediate neighbors before construction and they were, and, as the letters we’ve submitted show, still are, enthusiastic: they regard the new fence as a great improvement. • We hope we can keep it.
