The increased height to 5 stories will have a negative impact on the aesthetics of the Skyview Neighborhood as well as a negative impact on the aesthetics of Koenig Ln. The height increase to 5 stories will increase the number of dwelling units further exacerbating the congestion already in the area. Although both the North Loop Neighborhood Association and the Skyview Neighborhood Association are voicing their support for the height variance, that does not mean all residents in both neighborhoods support the request. I participated in both neighborhood discussions about the Seco Development and their request for a height variance. I voiced my opposition but was out voted by the group. I stand by my opposition to the height variance because of the negative impact it will have on our neighborhood.
