Glenn has resigned as of February 6, 2024. Jonathan has expressed interest in taking a two-month Member emeritus due to health reasons. This request will be submitted to GMCS in March - BCIC has informed the OoS that a member is in need of completing their BC member training as their 6-month deadline is happening at the end of February - Nominations for Vice, and Secretary are needed. - Congratulations Zac, for accepting his appointment as GMCS Chair - 3 persons expressed interest in joining council, and were invited to attend the business meeting - The Needs Assessment 2022 Report is being drafted. The Literature review is expected to take place in March, as it was tabled for February. FASPNA members should have received an email with Literature Review topic proposals and a survey to submit their preference. Special studies will begin in April, if possible. The Resource Guide has been started with the OoS and FTC coordinator Michelle Osorio - The Office of Support received requests to vendor with Allure Alliance’s Kiss and Tell Event for Women and Girl’s HIV/AIDS Awareness Day on March 9th and Bastrop County Fatherhood Collective’s Dads Matter event on March 8th. The NWOP community meal event is on March 7th. - The CAB/Caucus Partnership rotation schedule is being planned. On 2/22, the OoS had introduced this partnership to a subrecipient. The OoS has successfully contacted 4/6 of the discovered CABs/caucuses. - Travel plans for Continuum are next for interest member. - Planner attended TACCHO, where Nathalia learned about mySIDEWALK, the National Electronic Disease Surveillance System, and State Health Analytics and Reporting Platform (SHARP) Chair and Secretary All nominees will be presented at the February 2024 Business meeting. The We are accepting nominations for HIV Planning Council Vice official vote will take place at the following Business meeting. Planning Council members should send in nominee recommendations to hivplanningcouncil@austintexas.gov  Governance/Membership combined Care Strategies Committee (GMCS) new chair is Zachery Garay. Congrats Zac, on being appointed. o During January, Planning council received interest from 2 persons. These persons have met with the Office of Support, submitted a B&C application, and invited to attend the 2/26 business meeting. o Three interviews were conducted in February. These applicants will be reviewed for membership on 2/26 o Jonathan has discussed their attendance struggles via email with the Office of Support. He will make a formal request for Member Emeritus at the March meeting o BCIC has informed the OoS that a member is in need of completing their BC member training as their 6- month deadline is happening at the end of February o GMCS has tentatively approved the NWOP budget for the community meal, given that the organizers agree to their establish terms of transwomen representation at the events. The red ribbon pins were approved by the committee. o Office of Support Planner, Nathalia, spoke with Subrecipient’s CAB on 2/22 to introduce the caucus/cab  Finance/Allocations combined Strategic Planning/Needs Assessment (FASPNA) Committee Chair of HIV Planning partnership to their group Council is Ashley Garling. o The Needs Assessment 2022 report was started in the off-season. Currently Y2 Literature Review topics and proposal was sent out via email. The committee will continue their discussion in the March meeting. Y3 Special Studies will start in April and expected to conclude before PSRA. o The Stigma Index Project approval has been postponed until the FY24 Administrative Budget is final. o Regarding the NWOP, the red ribbon pins were approved by the committee and FASPNA agreed with GMCS terms for the community meal. STAFF ACTIVITIES Ryan White Part A Grant Activities  Monthly Project Officer Call o Our new Project Officer is Kristen Athey o Planning Council members may join monthly calls to provide updates, comment, and/or ask questions o Project Officer meeting occurs the second Tuesday of every 1 month(s) effective 11/14/2023 until 7/9/2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM o Save this link to join: Click here to join the meeting Needs Assessment  Completed Activities include: 2021 Provider Capacity and Capabilities Survey, Epidemiological Profile, Year 1 Survey on Assessment of Service Needs and Barriers Preliminary Analysis, System of Care Analysis  Each committee is being asked to make recommendations for Year 2 Needs Assessment Activities (special studies and deeper dive activities) o Proposed Year 2 Needs Assessment Activities  Literature Review of studies related to oral health care, barriers to healthcare access, telemedicine access, impact of COVID-19 on HIV Services has been posed by the Planner. FASPNA will decide the topic to focus on with potential to decide on a target population to examine. o The Resource Guide will be a part of our Needs Assessment activities. OoS and FTC coordinator have been talking with PIO and IT on the best mechanism to use to share and create this resource for the community. We will have this resource included in our final Needs Assessment Report  Needs Assessment 2021-2024 Report is being drafted currently to compile the current completed NA items. The Literature review is expected to follow in March, due to being tabled in February for later discussion. FY24 expects to conduct special studies/focus groups for year 3. Integrated Plan  Completed and submitted to HRSA and received feedback updates from HRSA. Discussed comments with HRSA in October with limited notice and were unable to invite PC members. These comments were discussed at the 1/29 Business Meeting.  Planner for HIV Planning Council will develop a Dashboard that will update HIV Planning Council on progress, implementation, challenges, and areas of improvement beginning this spring. Outreach and Recruitment HIV Caucus The Office of Support has been able to find contacts for existing caucus/CABs with 6 out of 8 subrecipients. The goal is to meet with the CABs quarterly and compensate these individuals. An email invitation has been prepared to determine a schedule for the upcoming year with available subrecipients. The Office of Support is leading the efforts to develop a caucus of people with lived HIV experience (including non- RWHA Part A consumers) to participate and provide feedback on Fast Track Cities, Ending the HIV Epidemic, and other stakeholder activities. Members will be compensated for participation and will be provided with opportunities to learn more about Ryan White Part A, Ending the HIV Epidemic, Fast Track Cities, and other topics of interest. The Office of Support has proposed a specific amount of HIVPC budget for compensation and will develop an ask for Ending the HIV Epidemic funds in the coming months. The Office of Support aims to host HIV Caucus recruitment events as a back-up plan to the subrecipient caucus/CAB rotation. Trainings available in the community are provided via Digest, conferences, and email to members.  If there are trainings that members feel are needed for 2024, please let Office of Support know. Fast Track Cities  The new FTC Coordinator is Michelle Osorio, michelle.osorio@austintexas.gov. CDC EHE’s Coordinator is Aurelia Lopez, Aurelia.Lopez@austintexas.gov TX HIV Syndicate  Austin Area Regional Co-Chairs are Brandon Wollerson and Nathalia Delgadillo  We are still accepting membership applications, so reach out to Nathalia for application details.
