Executive Committee Meeting of the HIV Planning Council TUESDAY, May 3, 2022 Executive Committee Meeting to be held May 3, 2022, with Social Distancing Modifications Public comment will be allowed via telephone; no in-person input will be allowed. All speakers must register in advance (5/2/2022 by noon). All public comment will occur at the beginning of the meeting. To speak remotely at the May 3, 2022, HIV Planning Council Executive Committee Meeting, members of the public must: •Call or email the board liaison at (512) 972-5806 and Jaseudia.Killion@austintexas.gov no later than noon, (the day before the meeting). The information required is the speaker’s name, item number(s) they wish to speak on, whether they are for/against/neutral, and a telephone number or email address. •Once a request to speak has been called in or emailed to the board liaison, residents will receive either an email or phone call providing the telephone number to call on the day of the scheduled meeting. •Speakers must call in at least 15 minutes prior to meeting start in order to speak, late callers will not be accepted and will not be able to speak. •Speakers will be placed in a queue until their time to speak. •Handouts or other information may be emailed to Jaseudia.Killion@austintexas.gov by Noon the day before the scheduled meeting. APPROVAL OF MINUTES a. April 5th, 2022  Approved as written 5. COMMITTEE UPDATES a. Governance/Membership and Care Strategies  Caitlin and Barry will be member spotlights for May and June i. Membership Reflectiveness  Two upcoming member interviews  Lacking part D, part C, formerly incarcerated, and state agency   AA planning to do focus groups for EAG ii. STAR Awards Irvine drafting recruitment plan  Nominee graphics and social media strategy for promotion  Business committee will vote on professional nominee winner  Winners announced June 1st, awards held June 27th b. Finance/Allocations and Strategic Planning/Needs Assessment  Had to table many agenda items due to staff absence – will revisit next meeting 6. ADMINISTRATIVE AGENT REPORT  No part A updates at this time  Patricia Niswander will be leaving  Ongoing issues with data management system 7. HIV PLANNING COUNCIL STAFF REPORT  Gift card purchase approved, expecting delivery in one to two weeks  Meeting times and locations o City Hall no longer able to accommodate our meetings o Location suggestions welcome  Spanish translation in progress, other languages as needed  Please submit conference requests ADJOURNMENT Adjourned at 5:33pm by Chair Tarik Daniels Indicative of action items The City of Austin is committed to compliance with the American with Disabilities Act.
